Summer Class in Law School

Your friends and families are here while you are still poring over books this summer?
Oh yes, summer classes are offered even in law school. Bad enough, for some law schools in the country, it is mandatory. So set aside your dreams of spending endless days on the beach all summer, if you happen to be in law school.

While regular semesters are packed enough, you go double time during law school summer classes due to the shorter duration alloted to finish any given subject. Thankfully, most of the subjects offered are electives, so non-majors. Except for the OJT, I think you can pretty much make your summers free by being aware of the elective offerings in your respective schools.

I am not opposed to taking summer classes but as much as possible I veer away from them. I'd rather have a full load during regular semester or add an elective or two on top of it (if allowed) to leave my summers free so I can roam and travel, recharge my mind, body and soul to my hearts content.

Law school is challenging enough and spending summer within the walls of law school will be counterproductive for me at least. But for most working law students, there seems to be not much of a choice.

So for most of my fellow student, a vacation in a beach faraway and getting that perfect tan might have to wait 'til summer classes are over. From the looks of it, you still got a week or two left before regular classes in June start. I guess, that's time enough to recharge your spirits once more, ready for yet another year in law school. Goodluck!
