Modifiying My Body and My Life!

So I've been embarking on a 'drastic' body and lifestyle modification process, not surgery thank you.  Mine has more to do with cleaning up my diet by getting rid of unhealthy fats and empty calories while making sure I do not lose muscle mass.  Today on my 28th day.

It is hard thing when you think that the holidays are approaching and there are feasts and parties everywhere. Indeed,  I have to reject invites to gatherings just because I want to limit booze and eating.  Otherwise I would have to either bring my own food or eat before leaving home, which is odd by the way considering that when you are going to an event, overflowing and unlimited food is the default.

When you are really bent of making a change, sacrifices is part of the lot.  I am more determined than ever and it is good so far.

I do not know if it has an immediate impact on my law studies but it would not hurt if the stresses of my future law career would be better buttressed by a healthier mind, spirit and body which I hope to achieve easily with my current lifestyle change in process.

I admit I am a lazy nut when it comes to exercising but have been doing more frequent sessions with light weights (20-30 lbs dumbells) and throwing in some cardio in the mix (bellydancing or Bollywood dancing)

It is good to take stock of where your body is at some point in your life.  We are not getting any younger!   After years of doing the wrong workout choices and very vague fitness goals,  I am finally sure what I want in my body and how it will look like a few years down the road.  This factor is very crucial.  I am not only thinking of the now but many, many years ahead.

How about you?  Have you been thinking lately about how you will look a few years down the road?
